Got It: 'Fall'-ing for Boots

The only good part about Fall are the BOOTS of course
Ankle, knee length, thigh-high, zip up, slip on, suede, leather...I don't discriminate.

However...I'm pretty picky when it comes to heel height. When I buy a boot, I make sure it's also appropriate for work & not just for going out...so scratch that comment earlier about a thigh-high boot...I'll have to leave those out for now.

The majority of the boots I own right now are mostly flat. So my boot hunting began unexpectedly @ TJ Maxx of course and I came across these bad boys.

The brand is called UnListed and they're a really nice suede material with a patent heel & platform.
I've actually had my eye on these for awhile now & when the price came down to $30 I was SOLD.

I've worn them once so far & thanks to the platform they're not bad. The heel is very sturdy, not flimsy like most cheap shoes. So far so good!

OOTD: Embellished Shoulders

I like this trend to an extent. Who doesn't like sequins, pearls, beading and silver strands of chain!?..right?

Anyhow, I only like this to an extent b/c I feel that I'm rather 'top-heavy' looking thanks to my large chest and wide shoulders...lucky me. Thanks to my DNA, you will rarely catch me wearing any wide shoulder blazers ala Kim Kardashian or strong looking military tops ala Rihanna. To me, it's all about proportion.

So I feel the more extreme the embellishments...the more heavy I end up looking. Here's what I'm working with so far.

(if you look closely, you will see the entire shoulders are beaded with white pearls)

OOTW: LAST of the Summer outfits

I've never been one to say summer is over after Labor Day hits.

Unfortunately....I'm slowly coming out of my denial and realizing summer is coming to an end.

Not b/c its after Labor Day...no no...it's b/c when I get up in the morning and throw on a summer dress or skirt and walk out my door I realize HOLY CRAP its chilly out.

So for now all I can do is reminiscence to ohhh just about a week ago when we were still hitting 90 degree days! Jeez...crazy ass weather...get it together and bring back some 80 degree days at least...thanks.

Got It: Urban Outfitters

One of my favorite stores is Urban Outfitters...that is..when there's a sale. Otherwise, it's usually a little too pricey for me. But they carry some great brands like Pins and Needles (cutest summer dresses!), Silence & Noise, & Alternative Apparel. And when those brands are on sale, I like them even more. ;)

I've been keeping my eye on these Pins & Needles summer dresses since July. At $60 and $70 bucks a piece, I've been crossing my fingers that they'd go on sale soon & still have my size available. And on top of that Chloe over at See Chloe Shop had a great 10% online code to use along with a free shipping code. (click the link above to see the online codes along with a trick)

The prices below reflect the 10% discount.

$17.99 (originally $68)

$26.99 (originally $58)
